Our Wellness Philosophy at Lochar Mill

At Lochar Mill Wellness, we believe true wellbeing is rooted in simplicity, nature, and self-awareness. Our philosophy is not about fixing you — it’s about creating space for your body and mind to remember what balance feels like.


We are not a spa. We’re not about luxury (well rustic luxury). We’re about real rest, grounded practices, and supportive spaces.


Our Core Values:

  • Slowness: You’re not rushed. We honour your natural rhythm.

  • Privacy: Sessions are private, peaceful, and unhurried.

  • Nature as guide: The river, trees, and open skies do as much as any modality.

  • Holistic support: We focus on body, nervous system, mood, and inner stillness.


Run by a Registered Nutritional Therapist (Lucy) and a Personal Trainer (Alan) we started this Retreat to serve our community in health and wellness which we value above all else. We support everyone - whether suffering with long-term conditions, stress, burnout, or simply those needing to take a breath - looking after their long term health or taking time out with loved ones to just really relax, rejuvenate and connect.
